Brake fluid changed ... softer brakes ...
I recently went to my dealer and among others I had the brake fluid changed.
After I got the car back, the brakes seem to be softer. It was especially noticeable after having driven an a 2 series with the Mpackage (as a replacement). I'm thinking that there might be some air in the circuit, but the dealership told me that this is impossible. I'm going there tomorrow to recheck, but could you guys give some advice on how to approach this? I'm just thinking that they'll say this is normal and leave it at this. :|

I would definitely take it back to the dealer as there shouldn't be any change in the brake feel. I had my brake fluid changed awhile back and didn't notice any change in brake feel afterwards.

Pretty much tells you not to believe the garage if they tell you it's impossible to have air in the system. It's very common if you don't bleed properly, it's easy enough to sort by re-bleeding.

Most likely air, or they didn't tighten down one of the bleeder valve screws enough and you're literally bleeding fluid when you press the brakes and not creating enough pressure

If this is the case, he's going to need to use the ISTAD software to truly purge the system. The typical brake fluid flush where you pump the brake pedals or use a power bleeder isn't going to clear out the air in the master cylinder.

Yeah, the key in doing it right is to not introduce air in the system. I've never had an issue doing my own with a power bleeder. But you'd think the dealer would have done it with the ISTAD in the first place, right? That's the reason I mentioned it could actually be leaking somewhere.
