Unhappy Bouncy Ride :(

Hello Folks,

My Ride is F30 2013 316i running on 225/40/R19 8.5J ET30 Front & 255/35/R19 9.5J ET35 Rear. (Non RFT)

Unfortunately I'm not enjoying my ride at all

The car is too bouncy, Comfort and Sports mode, shakes left <> right too much on speed over 120KM

Some people told me this is common issue with F30 and I have to change my suspension system , and due to bad road we have here in my country they suggest me to use Koni FSD suspension on the stock springs, also they said I might need to change the sway bars!

Please help me on that!

Thanks a lot in advance

Cheers

What tires? F30 came from factory with RFT.

Tire pressure?

A worn component in suspension?

Start by checking tire pressure

My base no-line 2012 328i with stock RFTs is the same way. It's bouncy on bumps, and floaty on the highway at speeds of 80mph+. I'm pretty sure that it's the suspension and not the tires. Granted, at 40k+ miles when I bought the car, I don't have a frame of reference to whether the suspension is supposed to feel like this or not.

I did just recently drive a 2015 328i xdrive M-Sport loaner and the suspension was considerably better. It was supple over bumps, but kept the car much flatter in corners and had zero "floatiness" on the highway. I'm not sure what type of suspension that model has though, since it's an xdrive and didn't have adaptive suspension.

I'm guessing that it's a combination of my suspension being older and the newer model year having tweaks/improvements, as I don't believe the xdrive has msport suspension.

For the OP, you should test drive a newer 3 series with and without m-sport suspension. You may find that switching to a newer, oem, suspension gives you what you want.
