Might be done with the interior mods..

Camera flash washes out the steering wheel :/ it is actually black

- custom flat bottom alcantara wheel; just installed it; saw it on eBay from some random seller in Estonia or something random like that, and fell in love with it. It was a great deal since it was bare - I figured wtf, and it only took me about 20 mins to strip the stock wheel / transfer everything to the new one (need to figure out a way to buy the m perf matte carbon wheel trim separately)

- m perf pedals

- m perf dash kit

- m perf shifter + brake

-F8x sliding armrest

- lci radio trim

here's the wheel compared to stock m sport

Sick...love the steering wheel. Isn't there an air bag in there somewhere? If you don't mind me asking the price of the wheel?

Nice steering wheel. I've been toying with the idea of getting a custom flat bottom wheel made that is thicker but I can't find an option that is reasonably priced. I wonder if your vendor would consider doing one with a combination of leather and perforated.

Excellent work.

How's the install for the armrest? I did the split, sliding armrest in my E90 and it was pretty easy. About the same with this one?

Yes, a sliding arm rest is number 2 on my dance card, but until yet I only found the hole console thing with it. Have to search on for a stand alone part from 3rd party supplier...

I asked him a few weeks ago, and he said yes, no problem. After I decided to go with the m perf shifter and ebrake, I thought the full Alcantara would look better. The wheel was 399 plus 40 shipping, which is a steal, and the quality is great. I think he charges an extra 175 or so for fully assembled wheels, but break out the torx t20, spend 20 mins, and just switch the pieces over. Here's the one I bought (and his contact info)

http://m.ebay.com/itm/251998941685

It's dramatically thicker than the stock m sport, and feels great.

Ecs sells them separately for +/- 240 or so.

Here are the part numbers (#2, retractable)

http://realoem.com/bmw/enUS/showparts?id=3A97-USA---F30-BMW-335i&diagId=51_8537

You don't need any other parts, everything necessary is included with the one armrest part.

aktif8 , do you have more pics of that steering wheel? How much thicker is it than the stock M Sport one? Also, my car has paddles so will this bare steering wheel work for me?

Dramatically thicker. I can take a few more pics in natural light tomorrow. It's awesome, I love it.

I'm not sure if the paddle and non-paddle wheel chassis is identical? It's possible he has paddle wheels to sell - his eBay Id is ledermanz

I've been checking out his wheels for awhile. Craftsmanship looks great.

Guys just contact the seller he linked to in the post, my pal bought from him for his E series and is really happy, the leather is very good. The seller would definitely do custom orders from what i remember.

I contacted him last week and he is willing to do a customer job. I asked for the same leather/perforated combination. His ebay listing is down though so I need to contact him again.

Nice. What are your thoughts about the M Performance (6MT) shifter? I LOVE the way it looks, but it doesn't look like it would be as comfortable to use as the standard, rounded leather shifter. Thoughts?

aktif8 , what color stitching did you get for your steering wheel? Is that the tri color M Performance? Also, it looks like your photo that the custom wheel is larger in diameter than stock? I dont think so but it just looks that way.

Funny - i bought it primarily for the aesthetics / cohesiveness with the dash trim and brake. I ended up LOVING it in day to day usage. The best comparison I can make is that it in its stubbiness, it feels very video game snick-snick. This is a great thing compared to the slop that the stock zhp knob somehow imparts.

It's significantly shorter! If there's anything i would change, I would make it a bit larger in diameter, if only for the aesthetics.

I've always had spherical shift knobs (I have a heavyweight craven speed one in my abarth, with a short shifter) and now i love the m perf shifter even more. I had the abarth out tonight, and marveled at how much more i enjoy the m perf knob.

If you're thinking about it, go for it, i love it.
