Exhaust Systems what do you guys have?

I have been on YouTube trying to see what exhaust systems sounds the best... Anyone have any recommendations as it is very hard to tell from a video alone!

Also any power gains and other info would be much appreciated

This review for the AWE non-res/stock DPs is very accurate: video and overall description. I have the same set-up.

I would love to look at upgrading the stock system on my M4 but I can't get my head around these prices?! Why are these systems so crazy priced?

haha yeh this is my first M car and BMW for that matter but these prices still confuse me. These exhaust are supercar system money and that makes no sense. Maybe up to the 2K mark I would understand with all the active values blah blah but 4-7K for most of them is just crazy.

Is there some magic thing about them that I don't understand? I used to own a Jag XF before the M4 and the XFR had a company that did exhausts for them at around £800. Now this only improved the sound it didn't add any power or anything else. That sort of cost makes sense to me. Are there any M4 systems that purely add sound improvements or are all of them performance too and that is why the cost is higher?

Don't believe the hype. Exhausts don't really add performance.

Here's why they are more money.

Exit drivers side door, walk to the rear of the car.

There will be a badge (usually) there, see those three colored strips?

That's the only reason.

Would the eisanmann rear fit up to the standard middle section?

I simply cannot justify thousands and thousands of £££'s changing an exhaust. Not only that I'd grudge it.

Yes. You have to have the mid cut, aft of the resonator. But you have to do that with all the exhaust rears.

Super simple.

You can have the 2 pipes cut, and the rear off, the Eisenmann rear on, all in well less then an hour.

There's a guy in Shropshire who supplies and fits Eisenmann and Remus amongst other systems for BMW.

Might be worth seeing what deals they have on. www.apautomotive.com
