Will the M2 have a HUD?

Any idea if the M2 will have that as an standard feature or option? I know M cars recently have had it to view RPMs and such but the 2 series being an entry model doesn't offer it within the tech package (to the best of my knowledge).

This implies that the M2 is somehow less of an M car than the higher numbered models. I actually prefer the M2 to the other vehicles because of it's size - price isn't a consideration. My entry model was an M5. I didn't like it because it was too big and heavy for my preferred style of driving.

Interesting you say this as it is mentioned in one place only on BMW.com in a very generic statement under the M2 section.but nowhere else.

Guess this means it won't be available.

The 2 series is definitely the "entry model" BMW. I don't think anyone is debating that.

Your particular entry model may be different but in the way I was using it I meant the cheapest and most generally attainable model.

This is correct. Even though the series numbers increase in size 2-3-5 etc...they also increase in luxury/quality on the same scale.

Seen a couple reviews citing the HUD on the M2. Autoblog said in their M2 First Drive, "As a quick aside, the HUD is clear and functional – not a new feature for BMWs, but worth noting."

Is everyone just getting confused with the other cars they drove at the event??

Seems that way. The other cars had HUD's, the M2 DOES NOT.

There is no HUD on the M2. Here is the dash from the M2@ Chicago autoshow. No HUD projector.

It appears so... still makes me sad. Loved the HUD in my 335i

Definitely not available for the MY16. But it's possible it's added during LCI for MY17. That remains to be seen (no pun intended)

And another thread where I am confused as to why I am reading about the same topics as discussed elsewhere.

There may still be a chance through special order. Ask your dealer - see attached pic and link

Ah I see what you mean now. Typo on my end. 07/17 would be MY18, you're correct
