Brake Coding, what exactly does it do?

I did some search on this topic and most of feedback went to F30 m performance brake upgrade.

It appears a conclusion that coding for mp brake is to adjust when to ask ABS/ESP work and how it works according to the "increased rotor diameter".

If that's true, it should apply to all the aftermarket upgrades that changes the rotor diameter.

Anyone shed some lights?
