Snap in adaptor

Im looking to get a snap in adaptor for my ipod 4th generation.

Il be downloading my spotify on this.

Would spotify new app work with the snap in adaptor (playlists etc)

Also whats the difference between the media and basic snap in? There seems to be a few part numbers and I dont know which one I need ?

I seem to recall the media version is required to support all functions (artwork, apps etc.) which is why most people go for the USB cable instead!

I have the adapter but rarely use it still.

Is there a specific adaptor for the iPod?

If it supports spotify il be downloading the songs on the ipod and leaving it in the car.

Ive got a usb to but the quality on some songs arnt great

Nope it will be same as iphone 4

I think you need the media version then.

There will be no difference in quality when compared to the USB though...

My usb has songs that are not all 320kbs.

Spotifys songs are good.

Not sure how much adaptor is but will only spend 40/50

Why do you need one? presumably because you are using the available USB socket? it should do all the functions on the USB cable such as song titles, artwork, control from the Idrive etc. I do see some 5/5S basic snap in adaptor selling at about £20-40 on eBay if that's what you want part no. is 84212289715 which gives access to charging and the aerial for improved telephone reception

Connect functionality (i.e. vehicles with SA6NS) supporting charging, telephony, entertainment and apps (vehicles with SA6NR)

Basic functionality (i.e. vehicles without SA6NS and without SA6NF) supporting charging and telephony only

Anyone manage to get the connected app working on Android through normal USB cable into arm rest port? I'm using a Nexus 5 (original).
