VANOS solenoids N52 $60

Replaced VANOS solenoids due to a dealer misdiagnosis (was a ground wire fault). So mine turned out to be perfectly fine.

You can re-clean them and use them using the cleaning procedure found online.

Asking $60 each (they are 212$ each at the dealer)

Cheers

$60 each for the new ones the dealer put in, or the old ones that came out?

Yes, the solenoid is $128...USD. Add shipping and conversion, that's $220 CAD. You could get it cheaper at a dealer here if you apply club discounts or know somebody.

Right, because shipping & conversion equals another $125 per solenoid?! You're the idiot. And I wasn't "trying to hijack" anyone's thread, moron. I was genuinely interested in what he was selling. Go fuck yourself.

I quoted ECS because myself and many other Bimmer owners in my area can easily access delivery PO boxes in the states, and regularly buy BMW parts down south, with Washington state being so close. That would work out to about $165 CAD per solenoid, taxes in. If I had to get Vanos solenoids replaced, I'd still pay an extra $100 per for new ones and peace of mind over used ones that I have no idea how much life is left in them.

128 + 13% tax = $146USD

$146 USD to CAD = $195

Shipping to an Ontario Post Code = $35.79

TOTAL: $231 + BROKERAGE FEES YOU FUCKING IDIOT!!!!!!

BOOM ROASTED

That's fair but I personally wouldn't go that route unless I was mass ordering or if I was going to the states. Something like a Solenoid, I would just pay RETAIL less any discounts - these things rarely fail so it's like a one off purchase and be done with.
