Anyone run their car on the strip?
Took my car to Calder last weekend to see what she can do.
More so wanted to have a base time to compare to after I tune and whatever else. Best time I ran was 12.91 @ 108mph With my other two runs being a 13 and 13.1. Really pleased with the results considering I was bettering times of a fair few worked V8's. They sure were eating their words afterwards 😝 |

AT - no launch control on that run. Simply in Sport + mode with the transmission doing all the shifting.
Ran 13.3 when I tried launch control and manual shifting (messed a shift up admittedly) |

Impressive times!
How did you launch for your best run? 1st gear or 2nd gear? Loading up against the brake at all or not? Will be interesting if you end up tuning to see the improvements. |

Best run was simply jumping on the throttle with no loading up at all. I tried launching using launch control and a few other ways but kept spinning up a little too much on take off. With a simple punch of the throttle I got a 0-60 foot time of 1.9 if I remember correctly. Definitely will go back when I do some work.....but that's a while away. |

Thought I'd bring this back to life for anyone interested. I've now done a bit to my car and ran it at Calder again.
Have an AR design high flow catted downpipe and ESS Tune from SouthernBM. Also lowered on H&R springs and changed wheels and Tyres. Ran consistently 12.1 on the quarter. Happy with the gains and the everyday drive of it still being smooth and like stock. |

Great times.
I took my m135i down last year but my tyres were almost gone and had severe traction issues so only ran a 13.0 at around 186kmh from memory. Hoping to take it back before the season ends this year and hoping for a sub 12.5s run, seems like it should be doable! |
