Coilovers that retain the comfort/sport damping?

Are there coilovers that keep the factory comfort and sport dampening modes from the car. Also, not looking to break the bank.

Not sure how much your budget is but KW coilovers are pretty good from my experience.

So are you asking for the ability to manually change settings? If so, you will need fully adjustable coilovers which start getting more expensive. BC makes coilovers that are fully adjustable at a reasonable price.

If you are talking about being able to dynamically adjust the suspension then you are talking big bucks. I know Bilstein makes a coilover that has a remote button mounted in the car to adjust suspension on the fly.

It sounds like you are asking whether you can change to coils but still retain the factory ability to adjust between comfort and sport settings that you get with dhp. Answer to that is not really. Once you change out those stock struts, you lose dhp from what I understand.

However, like tbooooe said, the more expensive coilovers have their own edc (electronic dampening controls) where you can install a switch inside the cabin that allows you to control the dampening on the fly. As for what models allow this, I think kw v3 does, but not familiar with others. I'm sure some others here are much more knowledgeable.

cool, sounds awesome. I thought I saw a bilstein coilover set for the m4 that keeps the factory button (comfrt sport) edc but not sure if that would work in a 435

Dinan and KW each make "sleeve" kits for the f8x which allow for spring rate changes and height adjustments on factory adaptive dampers. We need to petition them for f3x kits.

Switching to coilovers and maintaining edc with cost a lot of money. You will have to go with the higher end models.
Without breaking the bank you can get yoursef a set of Kw's. I switched from msport suspension to Kw v1 8months ago and the difference is night and day. Car feels much more planted to the ground, dramatically lessened body roll and MAINTAINS IT COMFORT very well. I will never go back to oem suspension!

Those maintain the electronic adjustment.
