OT: Who knew a truck can handle like this...!

I can't help but think the situation was quite avoidable, but hats off to the truck driver for pulling it off!

Not sure I think it was what he should have done though, and not convinced he did it really knowing whether he would make it.

Did the truck stop to clear out drivers pants?!

Maybe the van driver should get 2 years as he actually caused an incident rather than nearly/potentially....

It wasn't the van driver, it was the yellow digger that caused all that, can just see it crossing the lanes then driving off to the right at the end.

Very lucky manoeuvre, good reflexes by the HGV driver and awareness that just braking was not enough.

Trucks, especially without a trailer have huge amounts of power available.

This even more so when the governor is 'by passed' / delimited.

When I first left school I went to watch a Foden truck at Rolls Royce testing out an update to the Eagle engine. Great day out, apart from Tcutting a fully White Foden tractor unit.

A lot comes down to what load they are carrying. Must of been empty luckily. I've seen a few go over in similar scenarios all because some idiot has pulled out dangerously or slammed on their brakes on purpose.
