Custom headlights and fogs.
I finally dove into customizing my headlights and fogs. After hitting a rock with the front right tire, the impact cracked the adjusters and fractured one of the CCFL rings. So I used the adjusters out of the old headlights for both headlights, ordered LED rings and got rid of any and all traces of orange in the headlight housings. I then installed LEDs for the turn signals, plug and play, no hyper flash. Liked it so much I decided to do the fogs. I know the fogs may not be to everyone's liking, but I really like the look, plus not many other BMWs have them. Currently my girl has 134,000 miles on the clock and still running strong. Hope you all like the pictures and the look. Photos were taken with my Droid Turbo, too lazy to get the Canon out and try to beat the rain
Here is a picture of her with 20,000 miles and right after I got her.

Works fine on my phone. I like the light mods you did, but I'm not sire what you used to do it.
Also, previous poster is suggesting you go back and remove the [img] tags you have all over your original post around every picture. Theyre not needed, they just sit there cluttering up your post. |

Hi there. You will need to excuse my lack of auto terminology. When you say led do you mean the kits with ballast ect? I have the stock yellowish lights on my 323i 2011. I did buy bright bulbs which aren't bad but want what you have.
Thanks for any feedback |

I actually got my rings from IJDMTOY.com for around $40.00 for all four rings. They are high power LEDs, no ballasts. Instead they come with the wiring harness. There are all kinds of DIYs to change out your halos, but you can also screw your headlights up if you don't take your time. You can also get even brighter bulbs for your current rings, you will pay a pretty penny for them but they will be brighter than mine and you don't have to rip apart your headlight housing. I do it because I like to tear things apart and put them back together, thats why I work on air planes lol. Hope this helps!

Well the Pre-LCI headlights are in a box, these replaced the original headlights but everything in them with the exception of the projector and high beam reflector has been replaced.
I used a heat gun to heat up the sealant and put the lens off of the housing. Once replaced/rebuilt the items I wanted to, I heated up the sealant with the heat gun, putting it back together starting from the outer edge (the edge that makes contact with the fender) working my way in with the heart. Once it was completely together, I used lots of individual strings to wrap the housing together. I would then apply a lot more heat and tighten down each string as much as I could, one by one making sure the assembly was back together properly. Once this was done and cooled down, I used the same sealant you use for your windshield and completely filled in the area where they lens and housing connect. So far I have had no leaks, no fog or moisture in the lens at all.
