Help resetting airbag / seatbelt sensor after border patrol inspected car!

Hi all,

I recently traveled up to Canada and my 2007 328xi was inspected by the border guards for some reason. As I left, the airbag sensor and seatbelt sensor were lit up on the dash and have not gone away for a few months now. I read that I may need to bring the car to a BMW dealer to have them reset this, for an unreasonable fee. Is there anyone in the Boston / general MA area that could help me fix this issue? Maybe someone has a diagnostic tool kit or the right cables to hook in and reset the warning light. If so please do let me know. Thanks for reading!

Uh if it was BP's fault you should have said something and filed a report before you left....

On a side note I disconnected battery for 30 mins and reconnected and mine reset on its own.

Well I hope in the 1.5 years since the post started that the original poster fixed the problem already.
