noisy M Sport brakes

I have a 2015 f36 428 with the M Sport brakes.
I've noticed that when I apply the brakes at a lower speed (5mph)the brakes make a lot of noise. This just started around a month ago. I've had the GC for over a year and the BRAKES never made this much noise.
I'm about to take the car to the dealer, most likely they will say that this is a normal noise that the M brakes make.
Anyone else with this issue???
what did you do to correct the issue??

Mine were upgraded 9 months ago to performance brakes and a couple of months ago they started making noise. Brought the car to the garage and they serviced the brakes (cleaning and lubricating). However it didn't really solve anything so I accept it and do what I can to wear them down next time I go to the track ;-)

"The pads in the M Sport option were an aggressive Euro-spec pad - they have a lot of feel and grab quickly but dust quite a lot and are prone to squealing noises when not driven aggressively. There are pad alternatives that are milder if you have the M Sport brakes and are not happy with them."

Maybe try less aggressive pads? I'm not sure what is meant by 'aggressive', but I would guess they mean tracking the car.

I'm taking my car to the dealer for service and I will have them check the brakes. The M brakes look nice but not much difference from Standard brakes. I'm sure I'll hear the famous line "it's normal with M brakes" but I just want them hear the loud noise.

I guess this gives us more reason to drive more aggressively on the streets then, lol. I've been having the same problems too, but every now and then when I brake a bit hard from high speeds, seems to do the trick as I've read from what other ppl do to get rid of the noise...

I think the squealing is an installation error.

I have the M Sport Brake Option on my 2014 335i M Sport RWD and have not had issues with squealing. I've also installed the F80/82 M3/M4 pads as replacements and have no issues with squealing.

Replaced with the same parts? Or you mean different pads, etc.?

Always a possibility. There are quite a few stories out in wild west of the internet where folks' OE m-sport brake pads squeal, particularly if they haven't been broken in or beat on to some extent, so I figured it was worth mentioning.

My friend had the same issue! He got the rotors drilled completely and noise disappeared! But be careful they must be drilled with laser! Otherwise they could get damaged.

hello...
I had the edges of the brake pads CHAMFER by the dealer (after 2 trips of telling them that it was normal to have so much noise,) and the noise went away. The problem with the pads is all of the brake dust that builds on the edges and that is what causes the noise. by CHAMFERING the pads all the dusts falls down and there is no longer brake dust build up on the edges of the pads. noise went away about 98%.

+1.

Easy DIY. Just get some drill bits from Home Depot/Lowe's and drill a few holes in your rotors to reduce brake pad squeal.

You might bend the rotors! Best way to drill it is laser! Laser will not put any force on the surface just drill it

Have you tried using an impact chisel instead of a laser?

Nope i have not. But i guess brembo and other well known brands also use laser to drill the rotors.

Just yesterday I checked the pads and they still have a rounded edge. And minimal dust build up that washes off.
