I was just curious to see what you guys think I should be making power wise. I have an and 55 that's very healthy and it's only been about 8000 miles since I did the last intake clean. I have new injectors, new spark plugs, and new coils all but in the last 10,000 miles. My mods are below.

Running 93 octane all the time.

1. Jb4 stage 2 ISO map #2 14-16psi (sometimes I see 17-18 peak)
2. AR 4" catless down pipe
3. Resonators delete
4. Customer mufflers (PE Exhaust similar)
5. Injen cold air intake
6. 4" evolution racewerks charge pipe
7. TCU trans flash

I also have an XI.

Thanks!

330whp. Take it to a Dyno its not expensive for a few pulls. Climate and conditions will vary.

I would guess closer to 310-320 AWHP. The added drive train loss due to having an XI, fuel only being 93 octane, and only being at map 2 boost targets It wont be that high.

Here is bimmerislife's dyno with pretty much your same setup.

Don't forget my friend didn't have ISO done. It does make a difference in that Dyno. We will be doing his ISO next weekend.

Not with 93 oct. Most I could see is 340, and that is probably generous.

I don't know how you came to that figure. You will not make that much on your fuel and that map. If you want to make more power you will need to get a higher octane fuel and run a map with higher boost targets.

What map should I run and what should my target be?

On 93 octane you are running the right map and I wouldn't try to target anything over map 2 targets. If you are seeing boost 15psi and above then you need to dial your car in more. I would not consider map 2 to be an aggressive map which is why I am saying you will not see a ton of power. The highest stock turbo N55 dyno I've seen personally was 387whp and that is running high octane and high boost.

In the end it doesn't really matter what the dyno says. I stick with my original guess of 310-320AWHP.

Why not run map 5? It auto-tunes based on your mods, octane, temperatures, etc. You'll make more power on map 5 than on map 2 with the mods you have.

It's important to make map 5 "learn" to get the full benefits. Usually 2-3 WOT pulls from 2K-redline does the trick. You should log the pulls and post them on N54Tech to get tuning advice. You'll likely have to bump the FOL value to make sure your fueling is adequate.

BTW for N55, map 2 max boost target is 14.0 psi, not more, not less. If you see more than 14 psi in the logs, you're over-boosting.

Map 5 will safely let you hit 17 psi max IF your octane is high enough, IATs low enough, etc.

If you have access to E85, blending some in with your 93 is one of the easiest/cheapest/safest ways to make more power. Start with 2 gal, re-tune map 5, and increase your blend if everything looks good. You can get good tuning advice on N54Tech by posting your logs.

i see sometimes over 14 psi on map 2 is there some potential harm with over boosting or its not that bad ?

It depends on your logs. You need to see how your car handles the boost level. If your car has good timing you'll be fine with a little over boosting. I'm going to assume your timing is low so yes, over boosting can be harmful.

Even with the tiny stock turbo being the limiting factor on these, they are very sensitive to octane. You could expect a 50whp difference using an E85 mix or methanol injection.

Yes. I think my username is not allowed on this forums for some reason. I hope your car has been happy this entire time on map 2.
