Exclamation HPFP or Something else??

so long story short, i recently fixed my water pump about 2 weeks ago and just when i think i don't have to worry about this car anymore it surprises me again..

i am experiencing longer cranks in the morning followed by a not so strong start. idle is a little jumpy.. car drives ok under no boost/acceleration for a bit but once i give it any gas or the boost builds its jumps stutters and eventually gives me a half engine malfunction light..

i am current running e40 so im not sure if its worth filling back up with 93 and seeing if the problem persists, or just buying a fuel pump right away..thoughts??

Long cranks and breaking up under boost are typically a result of a faulty HPFP. However, it could also be a failing injector. You would need to scan the faults to see if you have any fuel high pressure faults.

I would check for boost leaks. It might be something from when you did the water pump.

Post a log so we can check how the HPFP is performing under pressure
