I have rewired the power to my JB4 to source 12V power from the boost solenoid. Everything is working properly but I've noticed a high pitch ringing noise coming from the solenoid valve now.

The noise is only noticeable when the car is powered on without the engine running (i.e. after locking/unlocking the doors, when turning IG power on, after shutdown). It goes away once the car completely powers itself down, at that time I also hear what sounds like a release of air coming from the solenoid valve. If I disconnect the solenoid valve the noise stops.

I'm curious if anyone else has experienced this.

I have the exact same noise. It is also noticeable when when accelerating hard.

Not present under normal driving conditions though, maybe because the JB4 isn't "working" at that point?

Now that you mention it, I can hear it under WOT as well. I noticed it but wasn't sure if it was just some high pitched turbo spool noise.

Glad to see someone else with the same experience. Maybe it's normal.

The JB4 should still be "working" under light throttle conditions because in ISO mode the JB4 has full control of boost. That's something I forgot to mention...my JB4 is setup as ISO boost control.

I also have a high pitched sound every now again, I can usually hear it when cruising.

Might just be time for a new boost solenoid. Changing the default wastegate position setting within the interface may also help.

The thing is, without the JB4 connected the valve is silent.

Now that ive reread the OP, I hear the high pitched noise for a while as well, and then the car farts and all goes away when it completely shuts down.

Never figured it would only happen with the jb4.

Lol yup. That's exactly it. You hear a fart or sigh and then it's quiet. You can also hear it under heavy acceleration.
