Rear shock mounts, with coilovers
Hey guys,
I'm noticing a metal on metal 'clank' sound coming from the rear left of the vehicle, only when going over bumps quickly (not slowing down completely). I'm guessing that maybe the rear coilover strut might need to be tightened to the chassis, but would you wise people know of anything else or have maybe experienced this yourself? Also, are the rear shock mounts retained with install of coilovers? https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/bmw...er-33506771737 |

Have you tried tightening the spring perch locking nuts Ian? Apparently it's common on bc's for these to work loose and start making clicking/clunking type noises

I have a squeeky sound like a old spring bed coming from rear drivers side which i guess is not the clunk sound you get

As for removing the wheel it would make it easier, but I do know on my previous car with tein coilovers I could adjust the rear ride height without removing the wheels |
