Yeah.... Midas is definitely not the place to have a BMW diagnosed.
Normally your best choice would be a local independent BMW specialist. German vechicles as a whole are beyond the technical understanding of regular non-specialized mechanincs. And of course they do require BMW specific diagnostic tools for proper diagnostics OBDII is simply not detailed enough. |

Did you use some cheap gas?
Had this happen to my wife's Nissan after she decided to buy gas at a "discount" gas/convience store chain. Drove the vehicle damn near to empty, filled it proper fuel, had a independant shop reset the sensors after 2 days of driving and didn't have a problem after that. |

I'd get a scanner and scan the codes yourself to make sure. It could just be one sensor but Midas is telling you it's all of them (to potentially make a dollar off you).

I will try the shell gas and go through a tank or two... tech said he would diagnose for free after a few tank and see if it goes away... Thanks for the advice ... much appreciated |

did you get the actual codes ??
Is there any misfiring in the cylinders ? I had replaced my precat and postcat sensors on my 328i recently. The symptoms were 3 cylinders misfired and of course error codes on sensors. I hope your issue is resolved with the gas. Let me know if you can get the codes. |

I'm not sure if Canada has similar laws like they do in the USA, here in the USA ALL cars have an 8 year/80k miles warranty on all emissions related parts (O2 sensors are emissions related). So asking the Canada BMW dealership about the emissions warranty on your car based on your VIN might be worth while (before your done with that tank of gas... because you might get 4 new 02's) O2's do fail over time as well. |

i have a 2008 335xi and I'm getting the codes p0155 p3027 and p2247 so i had the bank 2 sensor 1 replaced (the gray one). But the SEL never came off and is still not running very well. Could i have replaced the wrong sensor or could it be something else?

Where they heater circuit faults or where they parameter faults. Two different things. Gas isn't going to fix a heater circuit and low mileage doesn't help the BMW's lack of driving is just as bad sometimes

Take the car to any independent Bmw shop and they will scan your car for free.
Petro Canada is a Top Tier gas station so I'm not sure what that Midas guy is talking about. |

Petro Canada has ethanol. Ethanol is what messes up with readings and sensors. I only use shell myself. And the premium is the only one without ethanol. I concur with the mechanic that, for the best possible results (ruling out fuel as a probable cause), Shell V-Power is the way to go. Cheers |
