Foglights

My 1M does not have fog lights. They appear to be in the headlight assembly but there is no switch. Don't know if wiring is there or not. If it is, I would think all it would need is a switch, bulbs and programming. Any thoughts on this?

Neither 1M's nor 135i's have fog lights. The 128i (and other non-US variants) have them, but the placement would interfere with the additional cooling required by the N54 & N55 cars.

Yes, there are no front fog lights on the 1M's.
But there are rear fog lights.
All you need to do is mod the headlight switch assembly.

Hahaha sweet photo. It is very possible. Just buy the fogs and wire them in and into a switch. Super easy.

Cornering lights. They also come on when you put the car in reverse for some reason.

For OEM e82 equivalent connections:
- buy the euro light switch or follow the directions in e82m_van's link
- connect new wires ('Leoni' brand wires are used for 1M OEM factory wiring) to the NFRM 'footwell' module pin 37/top connector for left and pin 3/bottom connector for right side according to the wiring diagram and route them to the front.

Curious what fog lights would look like on an 1M, and if it can be done looking good in the old school rallye way!?

They aren't fog lights.
They are flashers.
