09 335i cobb stage 1 agressive tune Question(s).
So I just got my Cobb AP a few weeks ago, and I am currently running the stage 1 sport tune because I don't know the condition of the plugs, wires, coils etc. My car has about 92,000 miles.
What plugs do I need to get, do I need to go a step colder? I'm gonna get the oil changed, and I was planning to get the valves walnut blasted as well, anything else I should add? I have an aftermarket warranty and the coils are covered, so I think I'm just gonna ride with them, and get them replaced under warranty if they go out, but is there anything else "wear based", things like plugs, clutches and such, that won't be covered by the warranty that I should do as preventative maintenance? |

Get the OE plugs and you are good
Walnut blast is a very good idea as well

I wouldn't be so paranoid about the plugs and coils.
I have 118,000+ miles on the original factory plugs without a single misfire, running with a Pure stage 1 and PTF protune. I may just be lucky...who knows. I just don't see why people keep having to change their plugs every 30,000 miles or less. They're iridium plugs if I remember correctly. Aren't they supposed to last for like 150,000 miles? |

I am at 90K miles (N55) on original plugs and coils. Never a miss-fire or CEL. Tuned with exhaust, and 93 to 104 octane. |
