Which are better? Dinan vs ACS Springs for 428i xdrive non-edc

Hey everyone,

Been browsing through these forums and have been reading about H&R, Dinan, and ACS Springs for the xdrive. So far what I've gathered-

H&R - many people seem extremely unhappy with these as it's been said after the install the car has been extremely bouncy as well as bottoms out often. However this has the lowest drop of all 3.

Dinan- can't find a ton on here but I feel like they've had fairly positive reviews

ACS - doesn't seem like many people in the US have this set up but in the UK forums there have been generally positive reviews from these as well.

My requirements -

1) Not a huge drop, but definitely need to get rid of that xdrive 4x4 wheel gap. I also have the front splitter so I definitely can't drop the car super low or that thing will get torn off.

2) Comfort - I don't mind a firm stiff ride but definitely not looking to have my car be super bouncy or bottom out of every dip.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

What is your budget for this project? If you are looking to lower the vehicle and need flexibility to adjust the suspension height (just in case) after initial installation, then coilovers are a viable option.

No need to adjust height. On my e92 I had ST Coilovers which I really liked however they aren't available for the 428i. Don't need a massive drop even around an inch would be sufficient.

Hi, I am on Dinan springs and Bilstein B8. After market springs and OEM shocks do not give a good combo. Those struts/shocks for xdrive cars are soft and cannot rebound properly. I would suggest a full swap - coilovers or a combo like mine.

hi bbog2008. Thanks for the input and advice. How much did everything cost you if you don't mind me asking?

The parts were about CAD 1500 and the labour was $0 as I did the install myself. But this was last year before our CAD plunged to what ever it is today.
