F Series Blue Brembo Brakes - Anyone know the paint code?

Hi all,

Does anyone know for sure what the paint code is that BMW use for the 4 piston / 2 piston Brembo brakes as fitted to the F series cars (F2x & F3x)

In struggling to get a concrete answer.

Suggestions from various forum searches suggest:

Monte Carlo blue
Interlagos blue
Estoril blue
Montego blue

As I say a concrete answer would be great - I need to get a pair of standard rear calipers painted to match the fronts!

Do you know how/ where to get the brake upgrade? Just purchased a 428i sport line and wish I would have optioned for the M brakes.

I took a caliper into BMW today and looked at the various blues on the wall and took a few of the colour samples off and compared them.

None of them were a 100% perfect match, but Estoril Blue seems to be the closest, and is what I am going with.

These pictures are all Estoril Blue being compared against the Brembo caliper. I was trying to get them in different light / reflection.

You would have been better taking you caliper down to the nearest auto paint shop and asking them to mix you some. They would have matched it for you there and them.

I know, but there is nowhere local to me who is capable of refurbishing calipers to a decent standard so I am having to post off my rear sliding calipers to be painted / refurbed elsewhere.

Unless a local place could provide a paint code - which then could be used by the place doing the work on the calipers?

Yeh, that sounds about right.

I had a red R56 JCW Stage 1 with JCW Recaros and the options book thrown at it!

What did you run?

First we had a black mini one convertible.

Then this Cooper D.

Then this Cooper Convertible.

All the minis were my wife's cars.

Back on topic, i would go with EB, Once you get them fitted and under the arches, you aren't going to tell any difference.

They are painted Monte carlo blue. Estoril blue is no longer a stock M colour, that paint colour was first used on the f10 brake calipers where Monte carlo blue was one of the colour choices.
