Spec 2+ and SMFW - Additional Parts Needed

Planning on getting this setup in the near future. I've done quite a bit of searching, and it looks like opinions vary on what members are replacing.

Therefore, I wanted to get a definitive list here, and here's what I've found thus far:

The Spec 2+ clutch kit (Sprung version to reduce chatter) comes with:
-carbon/semi-metallic and Kevlar clutch disc
-heavy-duty pressure plate
-heavy duty throw-out bearing (make sure this is set to low position - USDM car)
-pilot bearing
-clutch fork
-alignment tool

The Spec SMFW comes with:
-Pressure plate to flywheel bolts. Use red loctite.

What I'll need / should replace while I'm in there (everything is Qty = 1 unless specified):
-flywheel mounting bolts (#11227520706 x 8) - I have an '07. Use red loctite.
-clutch fork pivot pin (#21511223328)
-spring clip (#21517570284)
-rear main seal (#11117587168)
-input shaft seal (#23127501712)
-output shaft seal (#23121222677)
-exhaust downpipe gaskets (18307553603 x 2)
-Transmission Mounting Bolt/Bellhousing Bolt (#23001222894 x 5)
-locking nut for guibo (#26127536563 x 6)
-zinc nut for guibo (#26117523709 x 6)
-drive shaft seal w/ locking clip (#33107505604)
-Trans fluid - open to recommendations (I've seen Synchromesh, Redline ATF. I'm currently running Royal Purple and feel its getting notchy when cold after approx. 30K km's)
-Rear inlet seal - going to upgrade to RB inlets at this time as I also read its an opportune time to make this install easier, so this one should be taken care of.

Anything that's incorrect (or a waste of money to replace) and/or missing from the list? Much appreciated!

Great list!

What's this one?

I'm installing aftermarket inlets as well so do I need to get this seal? I thought you just slide the silicone inlet onto the snout and clamp it down?

Thanks

Apparently there's a rubber seal for stock inlets that you don't have if you upgrade:

Ah, yes. I ran into it yesterday while installing the inlets, which was an absolute nightmare of a job btw. It easily took 3-4 hours to remove the OEM inlets (with the transmission out and engine tipped forward) and install the silicone inlets. Major pain. You're right, the rubber seals are only for stock inlets. They're also removable.

We're hopefully going to finish the clutch and flywheel tomorrow when I pick up the seals for the transmission.

Wow...good to know as folks were saying it was easier to get to the rear inlet with the tranny out! Good luck with finishing the job.

Thanks for that list! It'll be very helpful because I'm about to install my Spec 3+ and Mfactory SMFW here in the next week or two...

So how did your install go, and what do you think of the clutch?
What did you end up using for trans fluid?

Been putting it off since other priorities (vacations) have been taking place. That said, let me know how your install/experience goes with the 3+ in a few weeks time

Do NOT replace the pilot bearing unless you have specific BMW removal rpm. It will save you a biiiig headache
