Oil Temperature Gauge Reading?
I have recently had to replace my WaterPump after 230k. One thing that I have also noticed is that my Oil Temperature Gauge on the Instrumentation Panel is reading 10 to 20 degree's Celsius below what it had normally been reading. It historically would sit right around 120 degrees Celsius.
Would this new lower temperature have anything to do with the new WaterPump? Other reasons why it would be reading lower now? Thanks,

I believe it is because of the cold weather.

I doubt the waterpump can affect oil temps in any way, my guess would be the cold weather. Here in Ontario I can barely ever get my oil temp to 120c in the winter time, and I don't even have an oil cooler.
