How do you guys pass emission visual inspection?

Won't you fail the visual if you have any mods in the engine bay at all?

Yes lol. Mostly depends on the place that you go. Some shops aren't as critical, but most will fail visual without CARB EO numbers. I was just contemplating on inlets if I could get them in the stock location that way I can put the stock airbox back on next year when I need to smog.

I forget exactly where but on El Camino in Santa Clara there is a 'Test Only' station that doesnt even do the visual, they just sign off on it. It's close to Peterson Middle School tucked in between all the shops I believe. NOT on the Starbucks side of El Camino.

Here is where it was last time I went there with my FBO, nothing CARB legal, '93 Integra. Guy just ran a couple test and charged me w/e it was, I think $69, for the smog and told me he submitted the certificate online and I drove off.

I dont know the name and it doesnt show on Google Maps:

It all depends on how closely they will check your car. You cant really look underneath to check and can only see downpipe from one side. All the rest gotta stay stock or looking stock as possible if not then carb eo

I used to work next to a shop. The mechanic always used a particular smog guy, they were on pretty good terms. Hypothetically, one might be able to pass if they were buddies with the mechanic and able to set all readiness...

It's not the readiness that I would be worried about. It would be the inlets. I can pass with my DP fix and flash etc, just afraid of the visual hahaha.
