Can you view ur phones txt messages etc when connected via Bluetooth.

Also what functionality does the dvd drive give you can you watch movies

I can view new incoming texts from my iPhone whilst on bluetooth. I could watch DVD's although not blu-ray if I wanted to.

+1 I believe in nbt there's a waiver viewing videos from an external hard drive too

You can view text messages and emails receieved on your phone and connected via bluetooth. It will read then back to you but that means going through menus so easier just to read them. You can also view movies (avi, mp4, etc.) played from a USB stick

Yes, full voice commands, bluetooth streaming, album artwork, etc. All EBT gives you is pairing multiple phones, cradle fitting capability in armrest (phone specific adapter required separately) and microphone on passenger side in addition to the stadard driver side one

I have not been able to read texts via blue took on my iPhone 6? It doesn't even register a text when I receive one. It also defaults the filter to text messages, whatever that means.
Any ideas?

Hi Danny,

In your Bluetooth settings on your iPhone make sure Show Notifications are switched on.

This can be done by clicking blue info button next to your BMW hands free under my devices

In LCI models, EBT also gives you 4G (in conjunction with Pro Nav). I learnt this from experience; I would have specced it for 4G alone! (I have an LCI with Pro Nav and it's 3G only, but does have OTA map updates).

Not much point to it though right?

RTTI won't show any difference 3G vs 4G.

Only thing is the map updates, but they're not that frequent to worry about ?

I have pro nav on a LCI 3303 F31 but my iPhone 5s does not show any option to show notifications when I select the car on the phones Bluetooth my devices. Any suggestions guys?
