It looks like Cobb will be developing more features for the N55 users. Click on that thread, we need 100 people at least for the developments to happen. We're at about 60 something right now. Get into that thread and put yourself down if interested.

Thats really good news!!
I think it is pretty disappointing that they are asking for 100 people in order for them to support and upgrade their own product. After all they sold thousands pf N55 AP and the least they can do is continue the support so people get Cobb for their future cars Im a happy Cobb user BTW

I agree. Their sales start slowing down because competition continues developing and they don't,then they say they will come back to make new features likely to sell more units. Kind of a bogus move imo.

I'm new to BMWs and to Cobb and had I known what I know now then I probably would've went with JB4 or MHD.

Do we need to register over there or can someone post a link to this thread?
I'd love to have the support from them like they do on Subarus! A flex fuel kit for our cars would sell like hot cakes, especially since the direct injection makes it so picky for ethanol content. Not having to precisely measure out my fuel every time would make it more than worthwhile! |

We should use the 100 people to persuade MHD to support the N55 platform.

Unfortunately that thread is mostly N54, not N55. Look at the dates of cars most of the guys own and many even say N54 in their response. Almost all of the N55 stuff was for 2012+N55 support.

First off, thank you all for expressing your desire to see additional Accessport features and new model year support for the BMW platform. I want to assure you that feedback and requests such as these do not go unnoticed. In a perfect world, every enthusiast car would be supported by an Accessport with endless features and greater power potential.
With that said, we do not currently have plans to further develop the BMW platform. COBB is still a relatively small company and we simply do not have the resources to dedicate to creating full-fledged custom features. On the other hand, we are actively working on adding support for a N55 ROM that's recently hit US dealers along with miscellaneous bug fixes and we hope to have out sooner than later so each of you can continue to use your AP and tunes without issue! We apologize for the less than ideal response, but we want to be honest about our intentions and level the expectations for our continued support. As always, please don't hesitate to reach out to us if you have any additional questions or concerns! |
