340mm to 370mm rotors without changing calipers?
I looked through this over and over again and it's still not clear. Everyone says that the M Performance Brakes has the same calliper, just different colour, as the stock M Sport Brakes. However M Perf has 370mm rotors where-as M Sport has 340mm rotors.
This means then one can upgrade to 370mm rotors with the stock M-Sport brakes with just a change of the bracket/adapter? True? Is there a part number for just the bracket/adapter? This is a huge deal as this reduces on track brake fade. at about $450 a pair, these would be the cheapest 370mm rotors available. (360mm Brembo 2 piece rotors can easily cost $1k+) Don't get why this doesn't get more talked about rather than initial brake feel which actually makes no real performance difference.

I think I figured this out. It requires a completely different calliper. It seems the offset of the calliper is built into the calliper part itself. There is no adapter...
At $700 each to change the callipers, it is just cheaper to go for the full M Performance kit, which includes the front rotors (and redundant rear callipers in a different colour). $700 + $700 + $450 for getting blank 370mm front rotors. $1500 for the full kit in Yellow. http://www.turnermotorsport.com/p-19...-bmw-part.aspx http://www.turnermotorsport.com/p-20...28i-435ii.aspx

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Origional-BM...8AAOSwgyxWUtP- But yeah the M-Perf kit seems like a steal. I wish I liked fancy caliper colors and dimpled rotors more. Last edited by rwalker; 02-17-2016 at 02:38 PM.. |

Just to confirm, guys..
F30 M Sport 370mm Caliper/Rotor setup is the same as the M Performance kit, for the F22, only Blue? If so, I will definitely go this route, and wait for some used calipers once the 3/4 series guys start going full BBK's. A great OEM+ solution here, if it's "bolt-on" I personally would run Stoptech slotted rotors front and back over the M perf rotors, with my pad choices, using the 370mm combo from the F30, sounds like a game plan for next season. I have a set of virtually new blue 370mm blue calipers to go onto my car cw SS hoses, large protection plates to suit 370mm rotors, mpbbk rotors F&R and f8x MP pads upfront and f2x mp pads for the rear. Due to go on in the few weeks so I will have OE blue MPBBK spec with better hoses all round and better OE pads up front BP

So all the F30 rotors, stock or aftermarket fits the M Perf calipers on the F22? No rotor offset issues, haf offset issues, etc, right?

Next, what's the M2 Brake kit going to run vs this route? Worth it? Probably not..

I ran the dimpled, slotted rotors on the stock calipers, no mods, just swapped them on. Turner had them on sale last year for $150 a rotor. For what its worth, I have ran them with street/race, and race pads. I noticed no difference in fade, feel or distance when I went back to stock.

Plain rotors are always the best performance and price. Can start with the MPerf package and then while the dimpled rotors gotta be changed out, go on to F30 plain rotors~

These are much more aggressive wheel offset than the f3x right? Pic of the whole car by any chance??
