H&R Sport springs settle?

Hey guys, I got some H&R sport springs installed on my 2012 sportline F30 335i today. I was looking through some pictures that the mechanic took and noticed that the rear springs seem to be identical height to the stock spring. Is this normal? You can clearly see that the front H&R is shorter than the stock spring, as expected. I was hoping for a little more noticeable drop in the rear. Do you think the springs will settle and drop more?

Not an expert but I believe the spring rate is different. And also, if you will notice there's one more number of coil in H&R than the stock both in front and rear. That I would guess is to compensate the more compressability of the aftermarket springs. Again, not an expert but just an educated guess.

Thanks for the info, that would make sense! I think the rear has already settled a little more after taking a look today. I had a couple people sit in the back and it looks slammed, so I am glad I didn't go with super sports.

Suspension does take a bit to settle so give if a few days and you should start to see some changes, and more so when you drive it around. At least that's what I've notice from all the different suspension mods I've worked with.

Also love the look of your car.

Spring rates are different, therefore it will sit differently. Give it a couple of days to settle...

Did you install struts as well or just springs?

Honestly, I don't feel a difference from stock at all.

Post some pix. Just want to see how low it goes. I'm thinking of going the same route since I have a DHP and coils wont work for me.

Definitely, I'll post some pics later this week once it's fully settled.

The ride height depends on whether or not you have the M Adaptive suspension. If you do it will not sit quite as low as without.

Here's my car with M Adaptive around 6 months on so it's definitely settled.

Obviously it's not on stock wheels. Those are 20" with more aggressive offset...

PS: For anyone who reads this in the future, if you do have M Adaptive then you cannot install the H&R SuperSports. They lower the car too much and the adaptive suspension sensors think that something is broken and it will throw ECU codes.

Hey guys, so a little update -- the passenger side seems like it has settled a bit lower now but the driver side is now sitting higher than passenger. The driver side is about .25 inch higher in both the front and rear. Is this normal? The only thing I can think of is that I did have two pretty heavy passengers (one in front passenger seat and one in rear passenger seat) on the first day they were installed and drove around for about 75 miles. Could this have caused the passenger side to settle more or settle faster than driver side?

Any lowering spring set up I've ever seen. The driver side always sits a tad higher. Not sure why but mine is the same way.

Is 1/4" more than normal though? That seems a tad much to be higher on one side.

Sorry to revive your old thread, but I think it's potentially very informative. Do you still have the springs and the car? Would you mind to upload some photos, especially side profiles shots?
