Anyone want to take over my F80 allocation - $1,000 over invoice - Mar 10 build date

Not sure if this is the right forum page for this, so admin feel free to move where it should be.

I have an M3 allocation with a PA dealer with a production number and build date of March 10. The agreed price is $1,000 over invoice, plus applicable incentives. The doc fee is not much over $100. The details of the build can be changed up until March 10.

If anyone wants to take this over PM me.

I started the process of shopping for an M3 in October, and had been waiting for my allocation since December. A car like this is all I've dreamed about for ages. But I find that as the time approaches where it is going to become a reality, there is no excitement, only stress. Stress over what if x, y and z happen over the next few years and I wish I had that money. Before, the intoxication from test driving the car outweighed those concerns. I told myself getting to drive an M3 from age 33-43 will be better than anything I could use that money for when I'm old, even if the money is invested and grows substantially over that time. Now when it's actually on the horizon, my conservative judgment is gnawing at me and I'm going to back out.

I'm not asking for anything other than to get my modest $1,000 deposit back from the dealer. I could probably just walk away and get the deposit back but figure why not help someone out on this forum who is looking for a good deal and a quick allocation.

This was going to be a purchase, so if you plan to lease you will have to negotiate those other terms with the CA.

I think you will regret making life decisions on random "what if's", but it's better than having doubts after the purchase.

I had the same logic (enjoy while young) and apprehensions as you. But I had a friend die a quick, painful cancer death and ordered my car the same week. IMO, if it's something you want and can easily afford, you should go for it.

The dealer actually said they'd do that?

Because I know people who've been in the same boat and have made regretful decisions I just want to say - don't do something based solely on doubt that youre going to regret 30 years from now. Live life - its abundant and wont let you down

Keep your order. You're just worried but you already did the analysis when you placed the order. Unless your financial situation has now changed.
