Windshield wiper sensor?

My windshield wiper warning light. seems to be stuck on my 330 I have made sure it was full. It did not take it away. It has been like this for some time now, but I'm tired of it, lol.

So I went ahead and went through the gallon of windshield wiper fluid through the sprayer hoping to maybe unclog the sensor? I'm not sure how they work or how they're designed but I was hoping. I also went ahead and put 2 more gallons of distilled water through it. Than re filled with regular fluid and the warning was still there!! .

If anybody has had this happen to them, or is having this issue please feel free to chime in

Thanks.

The wiper fluid sensor is a reed switch. It does not actually sit inside the tank, but rather in its own cavity (usually). On the E46, the coolant level sensor and the wiper fluid sensor were identical in this manner. If the sensor is not working, you can replace it fairly easily. It fits in like a bayonette fitting: just twist and turn. You can get them for about 9 bucks.
