AA8 Tune Dial Settings?

I received the AA8 tune for my 228i yesterday and plan to install it at the weekend, but I am unclear of the function of the dial on the back of the box. It's labeled 0-F in hex (0-15 in decimal) and it came set to 6. I read elsewhere that each step is 0.3psi boost more, but starting at what, and do all 16 steps do something? I have the install instructions from their website, and I guess I expected more to come in the box, but there were none. I pinged AA by email last night but they have not yet responded.

Got in touch with Andrew from AA who confirmed that 6 is the intended default, and is the maximum recommended map for an otherwise stock N20 on 91 gas.

I'm assuming you're asking for yourself? I'm in California and we can only get 91.

I posted this question in the F3x N20 forum as well and somebody answered there with more info about the higher maps, starting with 6 being good for 93 stock too.

jamoka3 is the N20/n26 AA8 expert , we live in North East so we're happy to have 93 octane.

For those in 91 area, get some Torco or Boostane to increase your 91 to 94-95
