Should be fun, but probably pretty crowded. Most of the "test-n-tune" days tend to be during the week (Wed or Fri) in the late afternoon/evening. From the schedule, there are only two weekend open drag days, this one in March on Sunday and another in October on Saturday.

So I'm guessing the lanes will be pretty crowded with racers. Not necessarily a bad thing (more time to cool down between runs, etc.) but it will mean either more time taken to get your runs in (i.e. I want to make 6 passes), or you'll just get to run fewer times for the amount of time you have available (i.e I only have 3 hours.)

And, you'll need a helmet to race. NHRA rules states that for any car that runs the 1/4 mile in 13.99 or less, the driver needs to wear a helmet.

Yeah.. thats what I was thinking also... hmmm it shouldn't be too bad though, now HS drags.. thats a different story, but thats not till later later.. Helmet isnt a problem, I can borrow my friends motorcycle helmet.. I think they also have helmet rentals too.

I will never go again during the weekend, because it will be super packed.

I will wait another month or so until they open Wed and Fri.

I'd totally be down for the next time at the strip. I think there are a couple test n tune's in April or even later March if memory serves me right (too lazy to look at their website right now) We should make a little mini meet out of it. I haven't met anyone from the area yet because everytime a meet is scheduled something comes up, but I guess that's life.
