Help Identify Missing Splash Shield Piece
So, I bought a used 2006 330XI. From the day I got it, there has been a section of heat shield and/or splash shield right where the exhaust comes down from the manifold missing.
I can not seem to find this piece listed on realoem anywhere, or even a picture of what is supposed to be there. It fits right at the back of the engine splash shield, and to the side of the aluminium stiffening plate. You can see the stud where something is supposed to attach. Here is a pic of the area in question, you can see the stud where something is supposed to attach. Anyone? |

I don't think anything is suppose to be there.
All the splash shields are held in by coarse thread, M8 bolts, that screw up into the chassis (into plastic retainers). That threaded bolt hanging down is most likely securing something on top of it. |
