Looks are not too bad, but PLEASE don't put $299 wheels, probably Chinese made, on a $65k M3. Just a sacrilege. I never put anything less than OEM quality on my cars. Not sure about offsets. I also think 20s are overdoing it---19s are perfect.

I'm not sure why the price of the wheels has anything to do with putting them on. Should people only put on wheels that cost $800 each?
To each his own, if he likes it, then that is all that matters. Good wheels are not only available at $800 and up.

Anyway, I see you, lando, are in STL. I know you don't drive an E92 M3 yet but which dealer are you associated with?
I am just East of STL, about 20 miles.

Autohaus. Are you buying from Newbold? My car should be here on Saturday or Monday according to the dealer. I just sold my E46 M3 last week. Aside from the 10 inches of snow that fell today, I am really excited to get my new car. When is your car arriving?

They also have 19's and I agree with you that those would be better for the M3. Again, I really like the look of the wheels, but I am concerned about them being cheap and poor quality.

Are the wheels shown on the concept M3 available from the dealer?

I ordered the 18's on my M3 (I prefer the look of those to the OEM 19's) and eventually plan to use the original 18's for the track. I will need some aftermarket wheels for everyday use and the OEM's just don't do it for me. I kept the OEM 18's on my E46--I really like the deep dish look of those wheels and the wheels above.

I was at Newbold, but switched to Plaza who had an earlier order. Mine won't be here for 6-8 long weeks.

That is awesome your's is coming in Sat or Mon. What are your specs?
I just might have to drop by Autohaus to see your ride.

Who are you dealing with at Plaza?

I ordered AW, beige leather, sycamore wood, heated seats, tech and lux. I have had 17 years of black cars and my wife just got a black suv and I can no longer take the swirl marks on black. I did not go for CW package because I got sick of the headlight washers making a mess of my car when I only wanted to clean my windshield. What are your specs?

Maybe I'm obsessed with quality, but on a quality automobile like the M3, I will not put lesser parts or accessories on. I'm not obsessed with "tuner" names. Yes, there are some good wheels for less than $800. But I can guarantee you these are not them.

rule of thumb:

cheap=heavy; likely non-forged

My vote is

20's + chrome on this car is tacky.

That's funny you're on here Lando. I have been watching your car throughout the build process and wondered who it belonged to. Anyway, congrats on the car and have fun!

Picked up the car today--it is truly aMazing. Thanks for the good wishes. It is nice to see your dealership acting so honorably on the board. You guys run a quality operation.

Talking 20inch is the way to go

lando get the 20inch chrome rims they are not tacky just sweet. some of the haters just don't want your car to stand out and look better than their plain jane M3

I won't comment on the specifics of the looks of these wheels, but I think 20" wheels are too much for this car. I am convinced 19"s is the ideal size.

Sarcasm and flames notwithstanding, and making no comment on the quality of the wheels (remember, I know nothing about Koya and that was the purpose of the thread), I still think they look nice (See pic below). Plus, as I said, it looks like they knocked them off from Breyton and I don't see people ragging on the Breyton's. The M's 19's are just as chrome looking as these. Oh well, if seems as if they won't fit anyway.

BTW, I agree the 19's would be more appropriate than 20's.

According to this link

Koya is a Taiwan-based company and everything is gravity cast. I don't know if I fully believe that since many of the barrels look spun to me - maybe the gent was referring to the centers?. Anyway, it doesn't look the Falcon will fit the M3
