Choices....
So I recently purchased a JB Stage 1 off the classifieds but when I went to install it last night it turned out it was Harness A, not B. Guy was cool about it and he is supposed to be issuing me a refund tonight.
I have also been wanting to buy the BMS Intake for more turbo noise. #boostlove So should I just buy the JB3 (going to buy new this time not playing that game again) or buy the BMS intake and OEM black kidney grills? What would you guys do? Last edited by The Chaddening; 03-08-2016 at 04:56 PM.. |

you have the Jb stage 1 or the Jb4 stage 2

Call Mike and upgrade that to a JB4 or you are going to be kicking yourself in a month. The JB4 is FAR superior with no downside except an extra 10 minutes to install it.

I went back and forth on it for a while and I know the install is similar but my car is CPO. The only other engine mod I plan on getting for right now is the BMS intake. If i was going to go downpipe, meth, etc. I would get the JB4 though. From my understanding on a stock car the JB stage 1 makes pretty much the same power as the JB4.

So it's safe to say JB4 map 1 has 0.5-1.5 more psi then JB Stage 1? I can live with that. Just really wanted the PnP aspect of the JB Stage 1. Figure if I have that and an intake it wouldn't take long at all to revert to stock.

Yea in most cases you are looking at ~1 psi increase

But you could run map 2 (14psi) or map 5 if you have 93 octane available. You would probably see 15-16psi on map 5.

+1 on getting the JB4 instead of stage 1. You're not doing the JB4 any justice by only comparing boost figures. The JB4 has a robust set of features and adjustable settings that you will not get with the stage 1. I am CPO also by the way.
