Hey everyone. I've noticed every time I take off hard in 1st gear the rear end will start shattering/ jumping under wheel spin, guess if call it axle tramp.
Has anyone got this issue and resolved it with upgraded parts to help keep it steady I guess I'd call it axle tramp.! Thanks in advance |

Nope I have had two 1Ms now and that didn't happen to either. Just wheel spin, butt puckering and possible a little involuntary leakage from fear that something bad is going to happen. I also try to prevent wheel spin because it scares me in this car so I don't do it often but if you do, there might be something amiss. I do remember my first car with LSD was a front wheel drive Nissan Sentra SE-R. It was fine dry but in wet weather during wheel spin the diff would hunt for traction and it would feel like the font hopping but it was power bias shifting. This car has an independent rear suspension from the M3 and I have never heard them reporting that issue either. Have you checked your rear shocks? If they are soft you could have wheel hop.

I try not to spin in first or second...tires and cops are to expensive. But while accelerating up freeway ramps I like to hit third gear and nail the gas so I can see the blinky light.

The rear hop is due to the OEM rubber rear sub-frame bushings. You can replace them with stiffer or solid bushings, but it will created NVH issues.
