It's life. The 60 quid bus lane charge was probably better than the inevitable scrape. And I think I might score lucky on a tyre repair as its holding pressure ok and looks like a clean wound.
Will be crossing the road carefully for a few days though... |

If it's any consolation found a screw just like that in one of Mrs run flats. Pulled it out and got a lovely hiss like a pissed off cobra - took it to ATS sorry we don't do run flats. Off to an Indy tomorrow.
Stood back to admire the summers once back on her 1 today when Fat Kid 1 says Dad did you know Mums car had staggered tyres and the fat ones should go on the back !!! Earlier I bit my own cheek in Nandos and now have an ulcer the size of Wales !!!

Sorry about your ulcer - I'd rather clean said rims with a scouring pad than eat in Nandos though..! |

Etyres called. Wanted me to buy a tyre and the difference would be credited if I don't need it. Said I didn't want to do that as I am confident it's a repair. Now booked in for Tuesday. Snotty service though.

Think they can be repaired provided the puncture us in the central area and the tyre hasn't been damaged by running on flat. Ps I quite like Nandos. Got a whole chicken free on reward card to get

Just a quick update - Etyres turned up promptly this morning and plugged it no problem. No marks on the rim, which was obviously a major concern. £25 all in which is fine by me.
They will repair a run-flat under the obvious parameters - not in the side wall, not lost all pressure, etc. |

That's a good result, I shall remember that next time. I found a bulge in the side wall of my OSF tyre last week when I was cleaning the car, luckily I had tyre insurance as it was a replacement RFT job...

I laid down the riot act about not marking the wheel - probably thought I was a right jumped up twat, but let's face it a diamond cut rim takes priority over trivial things like my child or my health

That's not a good start to the week!
If you are changing the fog yourself, order some 'laminex' optically clear film, take them both out, apply film, you'll never have a broken one again! Words of wisdom that I haven't aspired to myself yet but did exactly this when I had the Merc and had to replace one at some £68 |
