TPMS and spare tire question

I think I know the answer to this, but just want confirmation. I'm going to upgrade my badly curbed 17" wheels for new 19" hoops. I plan on buying new TPMS modules for the new wheels and I'm not going to be mounting RFT's. Because of that, I want to use the one 17" wheel I have that is not curbed as a spare tire. Do I have to remove the TPMS module from this one wheel so as not to confuse the computer with 5 tire readings?

Haha... over 40 views and not one person can say, "Yes, moron, you have to take it out!" Either that, or no one else knows how the system works...

Bueller... Bueller...

Just to elaborate... I don't know how the system works exactly. So I am thinking that maybe the system is dumb and only gives a warning when one of the sensors gives a low pressure signal. If that's the case, then an extra sensor won't matter. But if it's a smart system and knows which wheel is low, then an extra sensor might be a problem.

The vehicle is only able to monitor 4 tpms sensors at a time. When you install your new wheels, you will also want to program the new tpms sensors to the car. Once the 4 new sensors are programmed, those are the only 4 sensors that the car will recognize.
So you can leave the one sensor in the spare wheel or remove it. Won't make a difference either way.
