For Sale - BMW 397 style 18" Winter Wheel Set

For Sale: 4 x genuine BMW 397 18" 8Jx18 wheel and winter tyres.

Originally supplied by Rybrook BMW Warwick in December 2013 they have been used for 3 winters and covered approx 10k (they were fitted to a 335xd which was traded with 21k miles). They were stored by BMW when not in use.

They are fitted with 4 x BMW recomended 225/45/R18 Pirelli Sottozero Serie II run-flat tyres. The tread depth is good and ranges from 6.3mm to 6.8mm for the 3 random samples I took (see photos below). None of the tyres have ever had a puncture and all are in good condition.

One of the alloys has some minor kerbing - see photos. There is no kerb damage to the other three.

They are in good condition overall with only minor marks to be expected from a few years of use. Hopefully, the photos will give you an idea of their condition.

No TPMS sensors. Suitable for F3X with M Sport brake upgrade.

Price: ** SOLD **

Collection from Chipping Campden in Gloucestershire. GL55 6JX. I can ship them at additional cost if required. Let me know where and I will quote a price.

Can the sensors be added easily? Presume tyre just needs remounting?

I'm no expert but I guess it is the cost of the sensors that might be the problem.

They seem to be approx. £200 per set unfitted. Removing and refitting the tyres is an additional £50 so the sensors add at least £250 to the price of a set of used wheels.

On the other hand, a used set of wheels with TPMS sensors is not very common as I believe the sensors were only introduced with the LCI last year.

Edit: the price for the TPMS sensors was from here. Any tyre fitter can remove and refit the runflats provided they have the correct equipment.

Hi bud. Great looking wheels. I've a wee question, and I hope you don't mind me asking. Are these wheels staggered but with 225/45 all round?

Cheers

According to the BMW 2015/16 Winter Wheel Catalogue they are fine for both the 3 series and 4 series...

They came off a 335d with M-Sport brakes so are fine with the larger diameter disc.

Gloucester is probably 40 mins from Campden. PM me if you want to call in and take a look.

The wheels are square. All four are marked 8Jx18. Hope this helps.
