e92 n5 335i 6mt grinding problems

Hey guys. My car is a 2013 335i N55 6mt with 23k miles (still under warranty). I bought the car with 18k miles and proceeded to put charge pipe, jb4 with ff wires, and catch can on the car... I'm a very good driver dailying/tracking an e46 m3 6mt with absolutely ZERO issues. The car is in good condition and felt "FINE" (or so i thought) when i test drove it/bought it. I was always a little sketched out about the tranny as it wouldn't want to go into 1st gear once in a while. I've had JB4 for about a month now and i do slam gears and floor the car when i want to have some fun... I now have a constant grind from 1st to 2nd. Is this common? My SA says they need to test drive it and then they may or may not replace it. Thankfully, i'm tight with my SA and both him and the shop foreman don't care about mods. Once again, I might not be the best driver in the world, but I am damn good enough to where I never broke my FBO e46 m3...

Make sure you're not letting the clutch out too early. Stock transmission has long throws, you might be letting the clutch out too early. If not, sounds like a synchro problem

Synchro problem, had mine replaced under warrenty but for some reason these trannies dont like fast shifting from 1st to 2nd cause my new one does it on fast shifts only. I heard changing the gear oil to redline or royal purple helps, thats my next move. 2011 E90.

Yeah. I already have a CDV delete and redline fluid.

On my 3rd tranny. 2nd gear synchros keep shitting the bed.

Hmm interesting... I'm at 47k miles on mine never really had an issue.

Use Redline ATF D6... It's the closest formulation to the original Pentosin fluid (actually a tad thicker).

I already have that in the car. Doesn't matter whatsoever.

Two of my friends had issues with their manual transmission. Both of them had their synchro's replaced under warranty.
