Time for changing springs on Xdrive

I have a 328i Xdrive and recieved a quote for changing springs. 4,5 hours only for the front springs! Can that be correct? I was told it was just because the front wheels drive shaft. Less than an hour for the rear.

Slower where did you have your springs installed and where you satisfied with the work?

The book rate for mechanics is about 5-8 hours depending on where they look it up. Think Dinan says 7.5 hours or something.

The actual job is about 3 hours for any mechanic who knows what they are doing.

So 3-3.5 hours is an excellent deal, 4-6 hours is fair - Id say anything over that and you are getting screwed and should look elsewhere.
