Grand National on Saturday

Who's having a flutter then?

Like the looks of Saint Are myself, ran 2nd last year (beaten by 2 lengths), handicappers been kind, and he's been aimed at this over the last year listening to his trainers.

Also might have a dabble on Holywell.

The grand national with it's 40 runners, 4+ miles, loose horses and monster fences is a lottery at best. I scrapped in with an each way bet on Goonyella. He was never close to winning. I picked 4 runners.
The British weather made it even more difficult this year with the late down pour before the off.

Best to stick with the successful owners and trainers in big races like these.

Sorry about that wasn't really a tip, just my thinking into the race. It's a big case of luck with the national. Not that it's any consolation, but I did have £5 E/W on rule the world @50/1, and the same on the last samurai @16/1, so ended up with a decent little return.

Could be worse, like the person who had £40k on Vautour in the Melling Chase at odds of 1/5. Ouch

That's a new 435i lost.

On Channel 4 they said as that race was about to start they said that £80k had been put on it at 1/4...i could never put serious stakes on a jumps race, as they aren't guaranteed to make it around as this proved.
