BMS wheel spacers on 340i M sport w/ 400m wheels

I was just about to pull the trigger on the 10mm front and 15 mm rear spacers yesterday until I read 1 incident where the hub lip on the front of an F30 was 13mm in lieu of the typical 9-10mm size and a 10mm spacer wouldn't fit. I decided I'd go home and verify on my car and low and behold my floor Jack is busted. I did measure the fender to the rim and feel ill be comfortable with the two sizes on my car, but I can't verify the lip depth yet. Has anyone with a 340i put spacers on yet? What sizes? Any pics?

For my car, that would be too aggressive. I measured fender to rim and my front is appx 3/8's inch (9.53mm) and my back is appx 5/8's inch (15.88mm). So 10 mm front and 15mm rear is pretty damn close, they'd only be 1.35mm off from each other (front out further).

I have 10mm F & 15mm R on stock 398m. No problem.
You need to remove the dust cap.

Bought a new jack and was able to measure the hub lip depth in the front, I know I'm not using the most accurate measuring device, but it looks like 15/32 of an inch or almost 12mm (11.9). Is there a chance a 10mm spacer will work?

Ok, so here's the thread I found about the issues with the front spacer. Based on the 7th post (Burger says 10mm spacer has 12.08mm clearance), I think I should be good.

Not much to add as my 340xi isn't here yet, but thanks for posting. I'll be measuring my hubs when it gets here in a month or so and will post what I find in this thread. I'm getting the 18" 398 wheels and have 10/15mm spacers penciled in as an early mod, but will wait to measure the hubs just-in-case.

Also if you haven't seen it lots of good spacer info here: https://www.turnermotorsport.com/t-w...s-encyclopedia

No, the spacers sit on the hub they do not affect the balance of the wheel and tire.

Somehow I am having balance issue at every tire change season! If it is not the spacer, it might be the extended bolts. Its get fixed only if I get wheels balanced on the car. Getting the wheels balanced on the car might damage the differantial? Is there anybody having similar balance issue?

Did you ever get the spacers Nick? I just measured my 340xi, the front hub was about 15/32" or just under 12mm and the rear was about 1/2" so just under 13mm. Seems like 10/15mm BMS spacers are a go!

I never pulled the trigger, looking at getting a downpipe instead.

Can confirm that BMS 10mm/15mm spacers fit nicely on my 340i. I'm really happy with them.

First off Burger does their spacer/bolt kits right.

Here is the 10mm fitment on the front, can see a nice gap between the hub and the spacer lip so it's def not bottoming out.

And the 15mms on the rear. Can't see the gap as well in the pic but it's similar.

Here are some shots of the car with the spacers. I'm liking the stance.

Big Nodge - How are you getting around not having a front license plate?

Haha, well I've only had the car for a month and a half. I insisted that the dealer not drill the bumper for a plate. Figure I'll ride dirty until I get hassled enough and then get one of those skene plate mounts if need be. No issues so far but it will probably happen eventually.

I have the exact same wheels and tires on my 340 but I had it lowered with HR sport springs wonder if that would affect it?

I've lowered the car since then, KW Street Comfort coilovers. I raised it a 1/4" since this pic was taken, but I didn't haven't had any major rubbing issues even at that height. And no impact on ride quality from the spacers. I think you are pretty safe to add spacers to your setup, it's a pretty common mod.
