When drifting at 189mph isn't cool enough
http://www.autocar.co.uk/car-news/ne...ord-plus-video
I was enjoying this fairly wanky PR video, right up until in the middle of the footage of the actual drift they decide to drop in some fairly pointless shite footage to try and demonstrate the racing heritage of Nissan... They should have just showed the footage itself properly and let that do the talking- it would have been 20 times cooler. #Tryingtoohard

I don't get drifting at all, so was lost at "Professional drifter...", sorry! I appreciate there is some skill involved, as there is with a 10 year old doing a Rubik's Cube fast (or at all, in my case), but it's neither a job nor a motorsport IMO.

I love drifting and would really like a car to 'play around' as a pass time - but an old E30 or E36 or something.
Drifting however is just highlighting how slowly you can take corners and is not a Motorsport for sure! Just a way of letting the boy racer out...

I think drifting is pretty cool and it does take a good deal of skill to do well, and when I've done it (tried a couple of drift school courses in the past) it was huge fun, so I've no issue with it.
I think what this guy did in the GT-R is pretty cool, so my annoyance is with the poxy video that was released. Instead of letting us just see the drift in action, perhaps from a few angles and then leaving it at that, they overlay some heavy handed marketing bollocks that just detracts from it all.
