Question HEA Car in status 112 still....Sound Sketchy??

Soo I made a deal for an HEA car and when I made it they said it should be in any day now and they had expected it last week....that was last week.

Just looked up my production number and it says status 112.

Does this sound sketchy to anyone that an HEA car isn't made yet??

I thought all HEA cars would be made by now and delivered or at least close to delivery.

Nope, my HEA car was 112 since Jan and finally started production last week. Don't know the reason why some dealers are getting their HEA cars late but at least you'll be getting a car soon, have patience

Yes, I'm definitely grateful for a production number, but part of the deal was the car should be here "any day now" and can sit in the dealership as an HEA for 3 weeks before I can get it....Plus I paid slightly (1k) over MSRP.

Now its going to be weeks till it comes in plus 3 weeks. Plus 1k. Kinda pissed.

Might be time to renegotiate this deal....

EDIT: What's the usual time frame from it going 150 to my dealer??

-Build finish (155) to Scheduled for Carrier (182): 1 day.
-Status 182 to 190 (on a train to bremerhaven):1-3 days.
-Status 190 to 193 (at port awaiting a ship): 1-2 days.
-Status 193 to 195 (on a ship): 3-5 days for east coast delivery, 5-12 days for west coast delivery (more detail on this later)
-Shipping time from Bremerhaven to East Coast: 12-17 days depending on the number of stops.
-Shipping time from Bremerhaven to West Coast: About 30 days.
-Offload at port: 1 day
-Processing through customs: 1-2 days
-Process through BMW Vehicle Processing Center (VPC) and onto a carrier: 2-5 days.
-Shipping time on carrier to Dealership: 1-4 days.

When you got a production number, did your SA give you a production week number? My SA told me week 15 back in Jan but it actually started a few weeks earlier.

Nope that section is blank on the sheet I got....

Can the dealer look that up?? I assume mine will go 150 soon, but who knows at this point. Since they said it should of been in last week a week ago already.

I got my production number and called BMW Genius and they gave me my production week #. They were pretty spot on. Car should be through production early next week. BTW late HEA car.

Heck I suspect many here would pay 1k over MSRP to avoid the long wait, I would. I just wouldn't be down for the 10k some dealers are trying to extort.

My dealer said their HEA car was still in production, would not arrive until 6 more weeks. So yes, HEA cars are still being built.

Still in production vs status 112. I swear people with #1 spots have their production numbers already. I know this dealer has their HEA and #1 spots with production numbers I saw on the sheet.

My main concern is that they are skipping me and giving the HEA to the #1 guy since he did pay more then me....and then giving me the #1 spot.

My local dealer has their HEA sitting in the showroom for a while now and my 'HEA" didn't start yet. IDK.

My CA let me know my car started production on Friday. It is their 1st so I guess technically it is an HEA car, but I was able to spec it out how I wanted it.
