Sidewall damage after curbage...do I need to replace?
So less than a week after getting new tires, this happens after I was being careless in the parking lot today. I plan to take it to a shop and see what they say. Do you guys think I need to replace or is this repairable? |

As long as cords aren't showing or shifted...would say that's fine albeit cosmetically flawed. |

Similar thing happened to a winter tire. Nicked a chunk out of the sidewall but I believe that area of the tire extra meaty just for that very reason.
I think you'll be fine dude. |

Yea they usually have some extra thickness there for that reason. My Goodyear tyres have a stamp on it that says "Rim protector", although it has not saved my rims at all.

I had a new set with 1600 miles on them and hit a pothole on an interstate. Got the bubble. Got it replaced for 40 bucks. At minimum your balance will likely be off. If you bought the road hazard it might not cost you much.
