I think that when need a car to sit in and drive a whole day long, you'd better look for something else. MHO of course.
But certain, one of the best reviews seen about the M2.

I like Alex Goy's reviews. He makes it fun and he genuinely seems to have a good time doing it. Kind of guy you would like to sit down with over a beer and talk enthusiast cars. I also like their locations shown in the videos.

Seat comfort comment was interesting though. Maybe he is thinking relative to most other BMW seating (3 series and up) which is typically top notch? Not sure. I guess if his back hurts, it hurts! That's the evidence...

Anyhow, I am not too worried about that as seat comfort is not a priority for me. As long as I don't have terrible back pain when I get out after a 2 hour drive. Didn't in my GT4, so probably won't in the M2.

I can't wait to get my own, a couple years away from trading in my F30 but the M2 is definitely my next car

I like his reviews. Always reviews the cars for what they are today instead of going on a 2-minute rant of how older cars did this and that better, none of that helps if I wanted to buy the car today.

The best part of the video for me is when he clearly states that while there are other cars (Focus RS, RS3, CLA45), the M2 captures that old BMW package, it's comfortable when you want it to be but sporty when you want to have fun and available with a manual transmission and RWD - something you can't find with any of its competitors.

Yes its true, but perhaps its because of the driver seat , a bit in angle, no? Do you think the position of the driver seat can be a dealbreaker for some ?

I wonder if M3/4 seats will fit?
Should be at least a few at the wreckers.
Especially after those slightly chilly cars & coffee events...

There's always another option of course.

If the car is a long termer, one could always look at getting the seats re-upholstered with Nappa if they can't get on with the Dakota...

Regarding the seats, is the seat bottom positioned outward by design or is it positioned by bolting the actual seat at an angle on the rail?

I think when I did my review, I mentioned that the seat and leg placement was uncomfortable... I'm hoping it's just due to the new seats not being broken in yet.

I like this guy. Something about his delivery is appealing. Seems like a real enthusiast for actual driving, like the best reviewers.

Here's another one I just found. Interesting comments on the M2 vs. M3/M4 debate...

I found it rather strange they kept on saying the sound and steering isn't very good..
And in the test this thread's about, the guy adores the sound and steering input.

Cheers
