Question Dealer says I can't do PCD with HEA?!

Dealer says I can't do HEA with PCD??

Is that true....??

It's bad enough my HEA car is still 112 for some reason so I thought if I'm going to wait a while I might as well do PCD like I really wanted in the beginning.

CA is saying its not possible with my car being HEA. Still obviously modifiable and status 112 since I was able to remove some stuff off the spec today.

It may not be that you can't take PCD, but rather that it won't be available at the expected time of delivery.

EDIT: as stated by others below, if your HEA wasn't switched to your name, it will go to dealership.

Demo cars go to the dealer. You need to have an ordered car as priority one with your name attached to it.

If the car was for PCD or ED it would not be an HEA car.

Not necessarily. If they can switch the car to the customer's name (which has been done before, although not sure if we have any M2-specific examples) then you can do PCD but not ED.

UPDATE:

Just checked my printout from the dealer and it says nothing about HEA on there. They just modified my order yesterday for me. Still status 112.

This is not true. If the order is set in your name it can go through PCD.

Yes. No PCD with an HEA car.

What I was told from my CA, which could have been a lie, was that since it is the dealers car it must be delivered at that particular dealer.

You have a reservation set in writing and approved from the PC? They are shipping it and everything? If this is true, I will be very disappointed in my CA since I was told PCD on and HEA car was not possible and I ended up traveling much farther than I needed to travel for delivery.

Sorry bud... Your CA screwed you.

If the HEA car was put in your name as a customer sold unit you could have taken PCD.

Mine is an HEA car that the dealer changed.

yes, dealer lied, unless it was already in production or at a point in which the order could not be modified.

My dealer put the car in my name as soon as I gave them verbal acceptance over the phone. I have official confirmation from Performance Center, my order sheet even Stated performance Center as the destination, that was months ago.

I was originally # 1 one on my dealer's list and I wanted the Performance Center delivery. As it turned out their HEA car as exactly what I wanted. So we just put my name on the car with the PCD

This is all very interesting. Thanks everyone for the help.

Is PCD something I can call BMWUSA and request myself?? I wonder how I can prove this is possible besides showing them a thread on this forum hahaha

Does it add to the wait time??
